SORRY!  I know it's been a while.  I am a training fool right now and have lots of up and coming things.  I am getting ready for a competion next month August/ September and have may photoshoots in the next two months. I am excited about spring and enjoying the awesome few sunny warmer days we are having.  My training is going great.  I can't wait til it is even warmer and I can do my running and sprinting outside.  My leg work outs are getting stronger and I feel like I am about up to my usual in that area.    This month I am going to start recording my workouts and getting ready for video postings.  The whole injury wiht my knee has taken much longer for recovery than I had ever expected. It was cool checking out what is new in the fitness industry.  One of the coolest things I've found was a new product called Lifewave patches.  They give you energy for 12 hrs and help you have stronger workouts.  They do this by opening the enregy meridians in the body.  I still must say my favorite protein is still Jay Robb!  The products are superior and organic with no hydrogenated oils and no artificial sweetners.&lt;br /&gt;The fitness/figure and bodybuilding finals were fantastic.&lt;br /&gt;Let me know if anyone found any really awesome new products and how their experience was.&lt;br /&gt;I am doing cardio/treadmill for 20 minutes a day now and my knee is feeling pretty good.  My weight workouts are going good too.  I am just now doing leg exercises, but wiht no weights.  This week I go back to work.I'm kinda worried about how the ole knee will do standing all day. I am doing the NPC Mike Francois show in Columbus, Ohio.  I am entering the figure and the light weight bodybuilding sections. My training has been going great.  Upper body only ....of course!  I am walking with a slight limp right now and feel pretty good.  I should be able to fast walk cardio in a week and do a regular light leg work out in 2 weeks.  Next week I am starting my recording for the paid site that will have all sorts of cool video and new photo gallery.&lt;br /&gt;The Arnold Fitness Expo is coming up March 4,5, and 6th. I wanted to let everyone know the surgery went awesome and I feel great.  I ended up not being able to get hte meniscus repaired.  IT was too torn up.  The good news is that I had an unusually large (2X) the normal size called a discoid meniscus and still have plenty of cusion to work with.  My knee feels great and I am sure I'll be doing legs in a couple of weeks. I wanted to let you all know the scoop on my injury.  I went to the orthopedic Dr. and also had an MRI.  I have a torn lateral meniscus.  I am having surgery to repair it on Friday.  I'll be up and running in 2-3 weeks.  Right now, I am feeling great and training upper body and can still walk on the treadmill with some good icing and elevation afterwards. So, wish me luck and I'll see you  all at the Arnold Classic.  I am doing an armwrestling seminar for HERBICEPS Satuday night. Sorry it took so long for me to write  in the blog!  Nick and I went to Lake Tahoe skiing.  It was absolutely beautiful out there in the mountains. I had a little accident skiing the first day out on the mountain.  I went to the doctor today and think I may have a strain or tear in my acl and possibly some meniscus damage.  We'll see.  Tommorrow I have my MRI and we may know more then but for sure more on Monday.  I'm gonna keep training upperbody and let my knee rest.&lt;br /&gt;The trip was wonderful and we still had a great time.  It's always nice to be back home though. My family loves to cookand eat.  I always make sure I buy and keep only sensible and healty foods at our house at all times.  That means I take home no leftovers from family gatherings and have only small portions of select things I really enjoy.&lt;br /&gt;     Keep the yummy things in moderation.  Only eat things you really love.  It's not realistic to eat competition style during this time.  There are too many parties and family gatherings.  I eat some fruit or a protein bar before a big meal too.  This helps to keep me from overindulging.  I also try to chew really well and eat at a slow pace.  Remember to never go to a party ravenous!!!&lt;br /&gt;     I am thinking about my upcoming competition season too during this time.  Putting a picture of someone  you admire or you at your best on the fridge helps keep your ultimate goal in mind.  I like to put my next years competition schedule close by too.  Making an actual goal list is great.  After the holidays is when I prepare my body by doing a body detox, colon cleansing system.  I then follow up with starting a regiment of fat burners.  As spring time rolls around I sprint and run bleachers.  These work awesome for my body to get lean.&lt;br /&gt;1.moderation during holiday times&lt;br /&gt;2.goals at hand&lt;br /&gt;3.detox body&lt;br /&gt;4.start a fat burner regiment&lt;br /&gt;5.cardio  4-5 week is a must&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is a holiday yummy I'd like to pass on Healthy Egg Nog&lt;br /&gt;Ingredients:&lt;br /&gt;1 quart skim milk or soy milk&lt;br /&gt;1 cup fat free egg substitute&lt;br /&gt;1/2 cup fat free instant vanilla pudding powder&lt;br /&gt;1/4 cup sugar or use splenda&lt;br /&gt;1 tsp. rum extract&lt;br /&gt;sprinkle nutmeg to taste&lt;br /&gt;Instructions:&lt;br /&gt;mix milk, egg,pudding powder,sugar,vanilla, rumextract in blender. Today is the beginning of my 3 day fast.  It's a great way to detox my body and get ready for a more strict diet.  Day 1, I drink only water, organic juices, and soy protein shakes.  Day 2, A couple les protein shakes, and more water and organic juice.  Day 3 only water and organic juices.  During this time I take no supplements but a colon/detox cleansing system.  I folllow up with a weeks worth of probiotic (full spectrum)and take a dose every 1x  week.  Training day today is a simple chest/shoulders/triceps with 45 of treadmill on the incline at a fast walk pace.  &lt;br /&gt;Today, I am also wrapping up some final shopping.  I am hoping that since it's duriing the week the stores won't be too overcrowded, HA! I want to know if it is true.  If anyone knows please email me and tell and give me the details.  I mean how could anyone take 20% off of every female fitness sport?  And where does genetics come to play?  I think there needs to be some standard criteria for the divisions(fitness,figure, natural bodybuildiing, regular bodybuilding)  Not just a panel of  judges idea for the season they feel should be the look that year.  It would make getting ready for a show much easier too. With Christmas coming and al , the stores are crazy and everyone is busy.  Nick and I are putting up our tree today with the help of Miss Sayge.  Today was a great workout and Nick and I trained really hard...........back and bi's.  It was definately a reality check with all the food around the holidays.  I am watching what I eat closely.  It's so easy to get some sweets or typical holiday yummys.  My secret is I don't buy it, therefore I wont eat it.  I have some great recipies for low fat and sugar holiday foods.
